Eliam UMC supports 'Renovate a Room' effort

On Dec. 3, Elbert Memorial Hospital CEO Tom Brown and EMH Foundation Executive Director Nancy Seymour were invited to dinner by the Prime Time Adults at Eliam United Methodist Church and for the presentation of a donation to the Foundation's "Renovate a Room" Campaign. As Brown received the gift of $5,000 he commented, "never in all my years as a Hospital Administrator have I received such a generous gift from a Church."

Prime Time Adults held numerous fundraisers in recent months in support of the project. A plaque in the name of Eliam United Methodist Church will be placed outside one of the renovated patient rooms.

The naming of the room will be shared with another donors' plaque, Barbara and Curtis Bell. It is the Foundation's hope that other churches will join Eliam United Methodist Churches efforts in supporting the Renovate a Room project.

Renovations for the rooms will begin in January. Recent fundraising efforts have completed 14 1/2 rooms and and monies for an additional 10 1/2 rooms are being raised.
